The past fourteen days we have been in China together with the Finnish nature photographer Jari Peltomäki.
The trip started out with a joint exhibition in Tianjin where Steen B Nielsen and Jari Peltomäki had an exhibition with nature images from Scandinavia.
Jari continued the trip via Beijing to visit the China Phoenix International Folk Photography Festival. After 3 days they return to Beijing, for a last sessions together with local photographers.
Street photography – with out people? well not what you normally would call street photography, but today it turned out that way. Had a short walk from Kampi to Esplanaden in Helsinki today, and here are some shots. Could they be used as stock photo? Why not.
Well well, I promised you images from Rautalampi, and I must admit that I was expecting to find some wildlife, but this time no. Only one bird, and that was the swan you see below. Its a Cygnus cygnus if you want to know the Latin name, or in plane English, Whooper Swan.
What do you do when the wildlife is hiding – you shoot some landscape.

Its morning in Rautalampi, its 3C, the sun has started to shine, no plans, lots of nature, no stress, 10x32GB SD cards, maybe I should go out and shoot some picture. Last time we were up here, we did not have enough time, but the area is huge, with lots of opportunities for people who wanna be alone, and enjoy some of the most beautiful lake areas in Scandinavia.
More about this later today, first we will have to shoot some pictures.
